Workarounds: There are a lot of different ways to make your cell phone battery last longer , but they tend to involve turning things off. Your screen is the biggest drain on your battery, so decreasing your screen timeout and lowering your brightness can help.
The Note 8 does also have a Power saving mode. If you see any really greedy apps in here consuming a large percentage of your battery, then consider uninstalling them. Snag yourself one of the best portable battery chargers. You should also look under Settings via the three horizontal lines at the top left in the Play Store and decide whether you want Auto-update apps to be on.
If you choose to automatically restore settings and apps from a previous phone, it can lead to mysterious battery drain issues that are hard to track down. A factory reset and then a fresh install of your apps can drastically improve battery life.
Another thing that can cause mysterious issues is using a MicroSD card from an old phone in your new Note 8. We recommend sticking it in a computer or laptop, backing up the content, reformatting the card afresh, and then only loading on the files you really need, before putting it into your Note 8. Solution: A hardware service can fix this issue. You can take your Note 8 into a Samsung service center or call Samsung support to arrange it.
Glitch: Wireless charging stopped working The Note 8 should charge wirelessly on any Qi wireless charging pad, and it will charge a bit faster on supported fast charging pads. Hold down the power button and tap Restart , then test again. That may at least temporarily get it working again. While Galaxy Note 8 cases are a smart idea to protect your phone, they can sometimes interfere with wireless charging.
Some wireless charging pads are fussy about your placement. Try moving the Note 8 around. A hard reset will take several minutes and will completely erase all information on your phone.
I want to install fanGig but even after using adb and using all the above tricks the app is not installing. Can anyone please help me. I want to install Spotify but keeps saying App Not Installed. I already tried those steps. Using ViVo, not rooted. I changed the sdk version to 28 my Android version is 9. And the app installed. I think choosing the wrong apk when sideloading, ie not using the play store will also cause this unhelpful error message.
And should be the first thing to check. In my case I was sideloading kodi leia on a google tv. It turned out to simply be trying to use a 64bit version when it should be a 32bit I gather google tv is a 64 bit processor, but running in 32 bit mode?!
Anyway the 32bit version did install. You might want to add that as a first check, since its very simple and nothing following will fix that mismatch. My Phone app is not installed only Genrate 15 Minuts and of the Phone but not installed app only Genrate round Figure.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. It was a headache and took about 24hrs but it resloved all issues i've have with this upgrade and everything seems to be working just fine. So, it might be just worth it. Any suggestions on how to get back to Windows 9? I don't see anything in W10 worth all of this trouble. After you create a new account,do all of the apps magically appear in that account. What about all of the photos, files, etc?
Why doesn't microsoft correct this instead o f having every one who uses W10 have to go through this trouble? It took Orjuwan 24 hours to accomplish this.
Where is Windows 9? I have some success at changing 8. I am doing this from memory so I hope I haven't missed a step. If I do, I'm sure that someone will find a work around. I'm not sure that thefirst few steps are necessary except to identify the 8. Click on the start button to bring up your available apps.
I have an app named Apps and Features. Clicking on this app, and sorting by name, wll ibring up a list of all of your apps including the hidden or unavailable ones.
These are the ones you want to change. Go to the store and download one of these unavailable apps, install, it and run it. Not sure if you need to close. Click on the start button and click on the 3 lines that appear in the uppermost left corner. This has a list of the most used apps, buttons for power, and 4 or 5 other functions. No idea what this column is called. The name of the app that you downloaded, installed, and ran will be on this list.
Right click on it and pin it to the start page. There will be a lot of apps that are unavailable that were were originated by printer drivers, or something else.
